We support Scouts ACT to help children and youth reach their full potential!
Scouts ACT is about “doing stuff”. ASF is about helping to provide “the stuff”.
We fund Youth Development Scholarships
We help young people and young Scout Leaders attend national and international scouting events, and implement Scouting initiatives for the benefit of themselves and their home teams.
We fund Property & Equipment needs
We contribute to capital works, scout hall refurbishment and repair, asset safety and compliance (like asbestos removal), and the purchase of scouting essentials like sailboats, archery gear, tents, climbing and caving equipment, and mountain bikes.
We help promote Scouting
We funded costs associated with the rebranding of Scouts such as new signage, flags, banners, uniform and name badges. We help fund major ceremonial and public events like the Queens’ Scout Award presentation.
We provide operational support
Depending on the operational and strategic needs of Scouts ACT from time to time, we help with costs like volunteer training, provision of member services, software purchase or upgrade, and project implementation costs.
Impact stories
Indoor Archery Range
With ASF’s support, now the Archery Team can run an archery activity at any Scout Hall, day or night, rain or shine. Scouts ACT also has an outdoor archery range at Camp Cottermouth.
Cycling
Bike hikes and mountain biking are just as popular within Scouting as they are in the wider community. ASF funded the Cycling Team to purchase mountain bikes for shared use, and tools to teach Scouts the basics of bike maintenance and mechanics.
Awareness of Scouting & Ceremonies
The ASF funds the purchase of Scout-branded material likes flags, banners, and badges, and supports major ceremonial occasions like the formal dinner that follows the presentation of Queens’ Scout Awards.
